Beca Ferretti is a family-run company that has combined passion, tradition, and innovation in the embroidery industry for 150 years.
The company is a leader in Switzerland and the most renowned in Ticino. From humble beginnings as a tailor, Franco Ferretti’s first major step was founding the company itself in 1977.
Thanks to great passion and dedication, the company has achieved success both in Ticino and abroad, and today we produce more than 1,500 embroideries per day.

A 150-YEAR JOURNEY IN THE WORLD OF BECA
Many milestones have shaped who we are today - a family business that has passed down a passion for embroidery from generation to generation. We want to share with you the key moments of our history and take you on a journey through our past, rich in evolution and tradition.
1877
A symbolic year when R. Ribola founded the eponymous company that produced uniform hats for the Post, Railways, Army, Police, and numerous musical bands, cavalry guards, and concierges.
1940
BECA Berrettificio Casella was founded, acquiring the technical skills to continue and develop the tradition of hat production throughout the 20th century.
1970
The torch was passed to Franco Ferretti, a tailor who specialized in making uniforms. With the purchase of the company, which he kept under the acronym Beca di Franco Ferretti, he expanded production to include hats.
1974/1978
Evolution became part of the company with the purchase of the first machine for industrial embroidery production, and just two years later, the first fully electric machine was introduced.
1986
The torch was passed to his son, Marco Ferretti, who, by investing in state-of-the-art machinery, significantly expanded the embroidery department. Marco founded Beca Ferretti SA and led the company to become one of the leaders in the industry in Switzerland.
1987
As the business grew, Marco moved the company from the 200 m² building in Lugano to a new facility in Bioggio, expanding production to 550 m².
2017/2020
Fabio Ferretti joined the company as Production Manager, and in 2020, Alessandro Ferretti became the Commercial Manager. They digitized the company by connecting production and management, thus streamlining all business processes.
2022
To complete its customization services, Beca has opened a new production department, adding DTG printing, DTF transfer, and thermo applications with various types of films to its services.
2025
